As a Senior Product Designer at Intuit, I partnered with product, engineering, data science, and research teams to design AI-powered experiences across TurboTax and Intuit for Education.
My work focused on simplifying complex workflows into intuitive products, from early discovery and research through prototyping, testing, and launch.

TurboTax Document Capture- The Story Behind the Solution

"How might we make AI-powered document capture feel as simple as taking a photo?" -Millions of taxpayers rely on TurboTax to upload tax documents every year, but scanning often failed because of poor image quality, confusing guidance, and manual corrections. My role was to partner with engineering and data science to uncover user friction, validate improvements through multiple rounds of testing, and shape an OCR experience that felt faster, more intuitive, and easier to trust.

Intuit for Education- The Story Behind the Solution

"How might we build a platform where educators can easily browse personal finance curriculum and assign it to their classes?" -The foundation had already been laid over 18 months by the previous team. My role was to identify friction, validate opportunities with users, and evolve the experience into something even more intuitive..

Process followed

Our team had developed a deliberate way of preparing for interviews and moderating them. Here's what our process looked like:

1

Define Goals

A Google document was created by our Project Manager, in order to list research goals, target audience, and a questions guide.

2

Finding Volunteers

Volunteers were recruited through Intuit's educator Facebook group and booked interview sessions at their convenience.

Demonstrating Proposed Solutions Through Prototyping

I prepared interactive prototypes for educators to test while we observed behaviors, captured insights, and probed deeper into key moments. These sessions directly shaped improvements to the experience, with many educators asking, "When is this going to be available?

I joined Intuit with one goal- to build products that people rely on during some of life's most important moments.
From AI-powered document capture to education initiatives, every project became an opportunity to transform complexity into confidence.
